Review: More (More Book 1) (More Series) by Sloan Parker

Review of More (More Book 1) (More Series) by Sloan Parker Luke's searching for something, something to get his mind off things. And he finds it with Richard and Matthew. None of the three imagined that one connection would lead to an intense, life-changing kind of love, though. More is told from Luke's POV, which sounds one-sided, and I guess it is, but the reader gets to see Matthew and Richard develop as characters, as the other two parts of Luke's heart and soul, all from Luke's perspective, so it was actually a good way to see how the relationship developed. First off, I have to mention that More is H O T!!! Like, incendiary, 5-alarm kind of hot. So much so that it overwhelmed the emotional part of this ménage at times. The best ménages are balanced equally between the physical and the emotional, and I'm afraid that all the steam tipped the balance to the physical side, so that the emotional side suffered a tad. But only a little, and not enough so t

Review: Rend: A Novel (Riven Series Book 2) by Roan Parrish

Review of Rend: A Novel (Riven Series Book 2) by Roan Parrish When Matt meets Rhys, he figures they'll end up doing what he usually does - having a quick one-time thing, then he'll never see him again. Little did he know Rhys would come to mean so much to him, be the light to his dark-filled life. A few months into dating and the two have fallen fast and hard, and a quick wedding is on the books. But what happens after the wedding when the two actually have to be married? Have to live together? To know each other? And when Matt is left at home when Rhys' job takes him away for awhile? Will Matt's many demons overwhelm him again? Or will he fight them off and realize that he deserves to have the life, the love, that Rhys wants to give him? First off, I have to say that this author's writing is fantastic! It's deep, flowing and pretty beautiful. However, and this is a small however, Rend , while entirely readable, is verrry heavy and melancholy, depress

Review: Snapdragon (Love Conquers None Book 1) by Kilby Blades

Review of Snapdragon (Love Conquers None Book 1) by Kilby Blades Two people meet. The attraction's there. But, someone always ends up wanting more, feeling more. And that is the conundrum, at least as far as both Michael and Darby can see it. So when they meet, neither wants the commitment, the strings, that an actual, real relationship brings. They want companionship and pleasure but not the feelings. So when they realize the other is of like mind, what else happens but an arrangement of no strings companionship. Yes, one of THOSE kind of arrangements. And everything is going along swimmingly because they're having fun, getting to know each other, actually finding they're becoming fast friends along with enjoying each other in bed. Michael's everything, well almost, a woman could want in a good companion/friend - he's kind, he's thoughtful, he's hot, and a amazing lover. He's a tad controlling, but Darby can deal. After all, the rest of him is a

Review: Come Undone: A Love Triangle by Crystall Kaswell

Review of Come Undone: A Love Triangle by Crystall Kaswell Alyssa's just received a proposal from her best friend, the man she loves. But, is she in love with him? Does he truly make her happy? Is he truly good for her? Or is she just holding on to what he was once for her, to her? That same night of the proposal, he rushes her out of the restaurant to his law firm - yet another emergency. He can't even spend the time to celebrate their engagement. But that's OK because he's not the romantic type, right? And then she meets his partner, Luke. Hot, tatted up Luke, to whom she's immediately attracted. And you can probably see the writing on the wall just from that sentence. I could, but it didn't stop me from being entertained by Come Undone . I have to say that Come Undone is a departure from Crystal Kaswell's usual writing. It's still excellent, angsty, and sexy, but Luke isn't really her usual type of hero and Alyssa definitely is not her us
