What follows is a nail-biting, on the edge of your seat, action-packed ride as everyone, from simply residents, to different responders (hot shots, smoke jumpers, firefighters, medics and law enforcement) to the animals of Scarlet Springs and nearby areas, evacuate and attempt to help battle the fire. Although I've only read two of the Colorado High Country series, and none of the I-Team series, it was fairly easy to read and understand what was going on in Chasing Fire . I didn't recognize all the characters here of course, but of the ones I did recognize, I loved seeing them again, especially Chaska and Naomi and Jesse and Ellie.
