Review of The Man I Need (Ward Duet Book 2) by Shanora Williams THE MAN I NEED If you read the first part of the Ward Duet , and were dying for answers after the cliffhanger, then have no fear, because The Man I Need answers all those questions and more. It picks up immediately where The Man I Can't Have left off, with Gabby in fear for her life. Now, she has to figure out where to go from there. First, a warning, and it's an important one: there's a note by the author about triggers, and that warning should be heeded. The Man I Need is much heavier than The Man I Can't Have, and deals with a brutal subject, so if you have abuse triggers, then this is not the story for you. However, if you don't have those triggers, I highly recommend you dive into this one (after you read the first part of the duet) because it's pretty great - sexy, emotionally tumultuous with two substantial, layered characters.
