Review: Chasing Fire (An I-Team/Colorado High Country Crossover Novel) by Pamela Clare

Review of Chasing Fire (Colorado High Country Book 7) by Pamela Clare CHASING FIRE When the first responders of Scarlet Springs notice the first plume of smoke, tensions immediately ramp up and the men and women snap to attention. What follows is a nail-biting, on the edge of your seat, action-packed ride as everyone, from simply residents, to different responders (hot shots, smoke jumpers, firefighters, medics and law enforcement) to the animals of Scarlet Springs and nearby areas, evacuate and attempt to help battle the fire. Although I've only read two of the Colorado High Country series, and none of the I-Team series, it was fairly easy to read and understand what was going on in Chasing Fire . I didn't recognize all the characters here of course, but of the ones I did recognize, I loved seeing them again, especially Chaska and Naomi and Jesse and Ellie. From page one, down to the very last page, I was so into this story, wanting to know how/if everyone would get o

Review: The Girl in the Painting by Max Monroe

Review of The Girl in the Painting by Max Monroe THE GIRL IN THE PAINTING At the beginning of The Girl in the Painting , Ansel is an obviously angry man who's lost his sight. That alone is bad enough, but as he's a painter, it's even worse. So his bitterness is understandable. But then a visit to his doctor yields positive information. Cue 4 years later and Ansel is still a moody, broody man, but his vision has returned and he's been painting again and is on the verge of an exhibition of his work. And it's here where Indy sees herself in his painting. She's never met the artist, never even heard of him, so how is she so prominently displayed in his work?! Guys, I LOVED The Girl in the Painting !! It's quite unlike some of Max Monroe's more recent stories, but it's soooo good! It's kind of angsty and heartbreaking in places, but honestly, Ansel and Indy (love those names!) are perfect together, perfect for each other. I do have to admit I
