Review & Release Blitz: The Blind Date Diaries by Brenda St. John Brown

Title: The Blind Date Diaries Author: Brenda St John Brown Genre: Romantic Comedy Release Date: January 15, 2020 Blurb Dating? Lower than a bikini wax on my list of priorities. Blind dating? Let’s just say I’d rather have a Brazilian - and not the hot soccer-player variety. So the fact I’ve agreed to do a blind-date feature for Pink , the magazine I work for, and write it all up Bridget Jones style means one thing - Pink is in dire straits and this is my best shot at saving my job. Make that my only shot because date number one is with Jack Reese – the son of the publisher of Pink – and he dislikes me as much as I dislike him. Or at least I thought he did. Alastair, I’m on the 11:14 train out of London, so I’ll be there by 3:00. To make this as painless as possible, I thought it would help to establish key ground rules: 1. No rehashing our past relationship. Yes, we were engaged, but it’s been twelve years and I’m over you. 2. I’m very good at my job and that job is to help you shed the “reclusive” part of the whole “reclusive rock star” vibe you’ve got going on. Brace yourself. 3. My plan is to have this wrapped up by Friday, so save your smoldering looks until I’m gone, please. (I assume you still smolder?) I’m immune now. See item #1. 4. My cousin is getting married and guess who's a bridesmaid? Funny, huh? Almost as funny as the fiancée you dumped because you thought sh...

Review: Maid in England: The Bridesmaid and the Rockstar (The I Do Crew Book 1) by Brenda St John Brown

Review of Maid in England: The Bridesmaid and the Rockstar (The I Do Crew Book 1) by Brenda St John Brown MAID IN ENGLAND When Remi's tasked by her boss to track down their client to rope him into doing as her boss wants, could it be the second chance neither ever knew they wanted? Or will the differences that broke them up the first time plague them yet again? It seems on the surface that they'll never get back together because Remi and Alastair still want diametrically opposed things. She's still as workaholic as ever, putting her career ahead of everything, so much that she has no life outside of work. And he still craves the quiet life, even as his rockstar life is heating up, which is where her firm comes in. I honestly wanted to love Maid in England , I really did. However, it just missed the mark for me, for a couple reasons. 1) It wasn't the romantic comedy it's billed as, or at least, it didn't feel like a romantic comedy. It wasn't really ...
