Review of Sweet Poisons (Pretty Lies, Ugly Truths Duets Book 1) by Natalie Bennett SWEET POISONS Nova is sort of an introverted hermit. She's got a lot of dark things roiling around in her head and I can already tell she's not necessarily everything that she appears to be. Then she meets someone who's got just as much going on as she, and their attraction burns like wildfire. Rhett appears mysteriously in Nova's town and not a lot is revealed about him except that he apparently is a killer and bleeds danger. Oh and he's obsessed with Nova and wants to figure out all her secrets, what makes her tick. Can two dark, messed up people really make a go of it when neither is exactly as they appear? Well, we don't find out in this first part of their story because it ends on an abrupt cliffhanger. Damn cliffhanger! I honestly was not really sure what to make of Sweet Poisons.
