He's had a slight crush on two older men in his village - Fie, a vet who makes mugs and has PTSD and survivor's guilt from his time in the military, and Sid, from Fie's same military squad, who's now a police detective in their village. Sid and Fie have a slight history, friendly and night of more than friendly. They both have noticed Davet, and somehow the three of them end up in a lovely, sweet relationship. But it won't be easy going because all three men have various obstacles in their own lives: Fie's PTSD, Davet's autism and worrying over his brother, and Sid's bigoted father.
