Review: Sweet Like a Psycho (A Secrets of Suburbia Novel) by Ivy Smoak

Review of Sweet Like a Psycho by Ivy Smoak SWEET LIKE A PSYCHO Everyone says Violet is strange and weird. She knows what they say about the woman in the old house, but as long as she and her son Zeke can live in relative peace, she doesn't really care. But then a house in her suburb explodes and suddenly a detective, Tucker, starts investigating her, the strange lady in the woods. Will it end badly the way it did for Adeline (The Truth in My Lies)? Whew, I gotta tell you, this Secrets of Suburbia series is crazy twisty! Violet is such an endearing character, I couldn't help but feel for her. I knew there was something crazy in her past that she was hiding from, I just didn't realize it was quite so bad and when it came out...damn. But the best part of the whole story was the ending. Talk about nuts. I hope there's more to come in this twisted series, because it's fantastic so far. ARC via author. #bookreview #SweetLikeAPsycho #SecretsOfSuburbiaSeries ...

Review: The Accidental Girlfriend by Emma Hart

Review of The Accidental Girlfriend by Emma Hart THE ACCIDENTAL GIRLFRIEND When Lauren's friends convince her (thanks to a bit too much alcohol) to place a fake girlfriend ad online, the consequences are ones she never could have imagined. Mason has no need to bring a fake girlfriend to his reunion to throw in his ex's face. But thanks to his meddling little sister, it appears he's bringing one, whether he wants to or not. But when he meets Lauren, he's definitely not unhappy his sister roped him into it because Lauren is drop dead gorgeous and hilarious with a no filter-mouth. "The woman was a distraction. A fucking hilarious, beautiful distraction." The Accidental Girlfriend is snarky, LOL fun with so much tension oozing out of my Kindle that I almost could not handle it. I haven't laughed quite so hard in a long time, between Lauren's head-sitting cat named Henry, to her no filter mouth, down to Mason's crazy Grandpa and Great-Aunt. ...

Review: Cold Hearted Baller by Logan

Review of Cold Hearted Baller by Logan COLD HEARTED BALLER Max is obsessed. Obsessed with a snarky woman who's thrown him off his game, literally. So he sets up a sneaky way to get to know the feisty woman who left a negative review of the energy drink he endorses. He is supposedly coldly focused on baseball, but suddenly Calliope is messing with his mind, and he isn't sure he minds. I absolutely LOVE Cold Hearted Baller! Max and Calliope's snarky banter mask a deep attraction that turns into so much more. Logan Chance's work is always sexy and character driven but I have to say under his new pen name, he seems to have developed an even wittier, snarkier, and more fun identity. I am looking forward to a lot more from Logan Chance writing as Logan! ARC via author. #bookreview #ColdHeartedBaller #Logan #LoganChance #baseball #newrelease #contemporaryromance #ARC
