Review of Finding Perfect by Ella Miles
Mila has a damaged, traumatic past. Knight has a horrible, bent on revenge ex (almost) wife. When these two come together, sparks are flying all over the place. Lust and love and hate and pain are in their futures, just as they were in their pasts.
Mila has a plan for her future, and Ace Knight most definitely does not belong in her plan. But when he proposes a new plan to her, will she accept? Of course, because thanks to him she's jobless and homeless.
God, these two had such a twisted, angsty path to their HEA. Honestly, sometimes I felt a bit crazed because I wasn't sure they'd ever get there. Knight was a serious ass throughout most of this story that I wanted Mila to kick him to the curb. He managed to redeem himself, barely, thank God. And Mila was able to finally see her way through the horrible pain she'd been enduring for far too long.
Although this isn't as dark as some of Ella's past writing, it's still pretty twisty and angsty, with her signature sexy style. I like the way their story weaved in and out, and it's plotted impeccably. The only reason I took off a star is because I wanted a much harsher resolution for someone in Knight's life. Trust me, that person deserved much worse than they actually got! Aside from that, though, I really liked Finding Perfect.
