Review of Puck Me Secretly (A Vancouver Wolves Hockey Romance Book 1) by Odette Stone
Rory hates flying. Good thing the hot muscular guy in the seat next to her is there to calm her fears. Even better that he's there when their plane crashes, and carries her off the wreckage. Even better that he promised to be the first to give her a big O, and makes good on that promise later that night at the hotel the airline has put them in after the crash. Bad though that he disappears the next morning. Even worse? He turns out to be the bad boy player on her father's hockey team. The team her father has put her in charge of for a year...
Wow, Puck Me Secretly was a serious roller coaster. So much was thrown at Rory and Max that it's a wonder they made it through. I felt like it was all a bit too much - too much drama, too much going on in the background (and the foreground), and it meant the relationship between Rory and Max suffered a little for all the drama thrown at them. I would have preferred if it were pared down a little. But I liked the two of them, that they were interesting, layered characters on their own, and a great combination when put together. I'm definitely looking forward to more from the Vancouver Wolves.
