Review: Tray (A Hell's Harlem Novel Book 2) by J.M. Walker

Review of Tray (A Hell's Harlem Novel Book 2) by J.M. Walker

Tray is a damaged man. He's been living his life aimlessly for years now, never feeling good enough, never feeling wanted, never really feeling at all. Then he meets Zillah and suddenly he feels something, he feels alive. She may be 14 years younger than he is, and innocent and pure, but she stirs him, and he wants her. And he means to have her. So have her he does. There's one tiny problem, though. Her very overprotective dad is the president of a rival club, Mayhem's Revenge. Oh and the little omission that he's kept from her, that's he's a biker, too, an unpatched Nomad in Hell's Harlem. Yikes.

I knew J.M. could write the hell out of an MC romance, but I have to say that Tray is almost something else. Yes, it's an MC romance. There are bikers all over the place in this story. Tray IS a biker. But the feel of Tray is a little different, it seems less MC and more straight up drama with some down and dirty thrown in. Whatever it is, though, it's pretty amazing. It's super sexy, it's rough and gritty, but not overwhelmingly so, and Tray and Zillah are one of those couples that you just root for the minute they meet.

It was good to see Greyson and Eve and Catch, too, and all the other men of Hell's Harlem. This is a cast of characters I'm already loving and cannot wait for more about them. The bonus epilogue was a killer, though, so be forewarned!!

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
