Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer
Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution.
Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now!
If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It's steamy, surprisingly well-drawn and well-developed, and Patrick and Samuel are a fabulous couple.

ReplyDeleteThere's lots more Sam and Pat in Book 1: The General's Wife: An American Revolutionary Tale (American Revolutionary Tales Book 1). I'm still working on Book 3 which continues their story after the war.
