Review of Cards of Love: Wheel of Fortune by Ella Fox



Chloe and Jackson's fathers are best friends and neighbors, so you would have thought these two would be as close as siblings or best friends. Nope. Chloe took one look at the boy who had a mother that loved him and she decided she hated him. And so the entirety of their lives were spent with Jax trying to get her to smile with one outlandish prank or another, and Chloe frowning and throwing a tantrum after. Until she was 19 and the town psychic read her her fortune and set Chloe's bratty little head on straight. Two years later, she's back in town, a changed woman. Is Madam Aria and the Wheel of Fortune card's prediction going to come true? Is Jax truly her soulmate from each and every life they've lived in each other's orbits? Or is it too late in this life for the would be lovers?


I love the idea of this story, and do definitely believe in soulmates, but I gotta admit that Chloe's character turned me off big time. She's the main reason for 3.5 stars. If she had been a sweetheart like Jax, this definitely would have been a 4 star read, but as it's written, Chloe just threw the entire story off for me. Aside from her, though, I liked the story. It's sexy once the two virgins get together, Jax is a sweetheart, Madame Aria is awesome and wise, and their friends Alec and Caroline are deserving of a story of their own. If I ever get my fortune read, I hope it's by a cool lady like Madam Aria!
