Review of Submitting to the Rancher (Cowboy Doms Book 1) by BJ Wane
When Sydney gets lost on her way to her new job, she is surprised, and a little (a lot) turned on when the building in front of her turns out to be housing a BDSM club. A club that she's peeping on. And that's when her new boss (although neither realizes it at the time) kicks her off the property. The next morning, Caden isn't thrilled that the feisty little trespasser from last night turns out to be his ranch's new chef. Something about her bratty defiance last night has him a little off his game.
Sydney turns out to be a lot more of a distraction than he had counted on at first. She constantly wanders off and gets lost, causing him and his ranch hands to have to waste their precious time looking for her. And that always defiant attitude revs him up like never before. And when he realizes she's hiding something from him, he will use whatever *ahem* method he can think of to get it out of her.
I liked Submitting to the Rancher but I wish it were longer so the relationship could have developed more. But as this is a novella, it all felt a bit rushed and lacking in depth. What little there is of both Caden and Sydney together, I liked, but I wanted more. More of them together as a couple. More of them exploring her submission. Just more. That's why the 3 instead of 4 stars.
