Review of Until I Found You: A Second Chance Standalone Romance (Heart's Compass Book 3) by Brooke O'Brien

UNTIL I FOUND YOU

Halle's ex is back in town and she wants to show him what he left behind all those years ago. Graham knew even back then that leaving Halle behind when he ran to Chicago, that it was a mistake. But he couldn't help but feel that he was to blame for his cousin's death, and that he had nothing to give Halle, not what she deserved anyway. But now he's back to take care of his mother, and to investigate his cousin's murder and he can't help but be drawn back to the woman he left behind, but still loves. Can he convince her to give him a second chance, and that he's back to stay this time?

Oh God, this was one big angst-fest! The back and forth between these two drove me bonkers!! Ugh. But aside from the angsty bs between Halle and Graham, I enjoyed Until I Found You. It was fast-paced, sexy and had enough suspense to qualify it as romantic suspense. I did feel a bit lost, as it was obvious there was a backstory between not just Graham and Halle, but between other characters, too, so that's part of why 3.5 rather than 4 stars. Still, I liked it enough to be interested in reading the next story in this series.

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
