Ruby isn't quite sure what she's doing with her life. Oh sure, she's got a job as a therapist, but her practice hasn't really picked up yet. She lives at home with her mom, whom she loves, but who's not always approving of how Ruby's living her life. She sometimes goes to church with her mom, and she's sorta just floating through life. And then she goes out with her best friend, Drew (from Make You Mine) and sees a gorgeous Jamie-Dornan lookalike at the bar. When later that night that same guy, Remington (Remi), offers her a job as a nanny to his 4-year-old daughter, Lillie, she isn't sure at first. But when he offers her $500 a day, she can't say yes fast enough. She needs that money so she can move out of her mom's house and get her own place, like the adult she knows she's supposed to be.


For a licensed therapist, being a nanny should be easy, right? But Ruby didn't allow herself to admit that thread of attraction between her and Remi, so with a live-in situation like theirs, that attraction is bound to explode. The only question is, will they be able to maintain that attraction and their morphing relationship, or will it fizzle under the weight of the scrutiny of their small town and Remi's former mother-in-law?


I seriously loved Make Me Yours! I honestly wasn't prepared for how much I'd fall for Remi and Ruby and his precocious, adorable daughter, Lillie. These two have got that spark, that thing that only special couples have. It's sorta undefinable, but it makes the reader remember them long after the reading is done. I think it's the combination of sweet, quirky Ruby, paired with also sweet, serious Remi, then add in the human ball of adorable-ness that is Lillie. But, as light-hearted as that sounds, and it is full of joy and laughter, there's enough seriousness in the themes of Ruby finding her way and fending off the mean girls in their town, and Remi figuring out how to temper his mother-in-law's presence in their life, to balance out the fun. Plus, did I mention that they're HOT together?!? Forgive me if I didn't mention it before, but they are, sooo hot. I'll just leave off by saying I love Remi and Ruby and Lillie. Make Me Yours is Tia Louise at her absolute best!
