Review Tour: Liberty Empire by Brooke Ellis

Title: Liberty Empire
Series: Empire Series #2
Author: Brooke Ellis
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 2, 2019

A violent act pits brother against brother.

Consequences of past actions become a dire turning point for one of the brothers and cause serious implications for other’s in the empire.

Liberty ends for one, in the form of a medium term, maximum security prison sentence. While the other finds his emotional liberty challenged, when his sexual limits are pushed beyond where he thought they would ever go.

Adeline puts much at risk when she takes a relationship to a different level. Family ties are tested, and few come through unscathed.

Spending most of her life in Sydney, Australia, before moving back to her hometown of Brisbane, Brooke worked as a chef in many a steamy hot kitchen. Which provided the perfect segue into writing equally steamy hot contemporary romance books. Letting her imagination run wild, she set out writing her first novel in 2017, which turned into a second and third in 2018.

Not quite yet a crazy cat lady, The Dude frequently reclines on a cushion at the end of her bed and is always suitably dressed in a black and white tuxedo–even if his buttons are mismatched.

Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
