ANOTHER

When Carina is offered some comfort the night her engagement falls apart, she never quite forgets the beautiful gray eyes of the man from the bar that night. Then lo and behold when she walks into to her surprise "blind date" photo shoot and she sees those same beautiful gray eyes staring at her...let's just say the sparks ignite a major flame!!! A flame that leaves Carina with a permanent, but beautiful reminder of her photo shoot, even if she can't find Ian to let him know since they never got each other's last names or phone numbers.

Carina is a tough, independent woman, though, and she can certainly wade through this on her own, right? But she might not have to after finding Ian at her next business meeting, looking just as shocked and surprised to see her as she is to see him. Though they do not know each other, they can make things work even if only for the sake of their soon to come baby. They can co-parent like the adults they are. Their attraction to each other has not dimmed, though, in all the months since they've seen each other. Can they actually have a healthy relationship and get to know each other, knowing they're going to be parents soon? Maybe, if Carina can stop running every time Ian admittedly screws up, and if Ian can take his head out of his ass about his "little sister", even if Carina knows that little sister doesn't have so sisterly feelings toward him.

Hot damn, Another is awesome! Super, super hot, witty and snarky, and full of all the feels. I absolutely loved Carina - she's sassy and feisty and tough, the perfect foil for Ian's dirty mouth and huge heart. I have loved all of Fiona Cole's couples, but I really do think Carina and Ian are my favorite!

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
