Review: Savage Hunger (Savage Trilogy #1) by Lisa Renee Jones
SAVAGE HUNTER (SAVAGE TRILOGY #1) Candace Marks and Rick Savage used to be in love. She was planning on the whole shebang. Then he left her with a note and a heart shattered into a million tiny pieces. Now she's in an unhealthy, unbearable relationship with nothing left to live for, when who barrels back into her life but the man who broke her all those years ago. Can Candace steel her heart against Savage? Not if he has anything to say about it!
When Rick and Candace were together previously, Rick knew he wasn't good enough for her, knew that there were things in his life he didn't want touching her and her goodness. So he left. Unfortunately, he broke her heart when he did so. But he's back now and he's got the skills (and the alpha tendencies) to protect her. If only she'd give him a second chance. She can work out her anger, work out her broken heart on him. He's more than happy to let her...
I always love Lisa's heroes, they're usually alpha with big hearts, and Savage is certainly no exception. He's exceptional - super protective, vulnerable inside, and alpha af. I loved getting his backstory, as heartbreaking as it is, and I loved seeing these two realize (admit) that they were still madly in love with each other. I can't wait for Savage Burn now!
