Review: Pretty Broken Girl (Pretty Broken #1) by Jeana E. Mann
PRETTY BROKEN GIRL (PRETTY BROKEN #1) Sam and Dakota used to be so in love. Then the act of betrayal that drove them apart. Years later they come back into contact when he becomes her new boss. Yikes...
I love me a second chance romance, plus you combine it with a sort of enemies to lovers vibe, AND a hot boss trope, and I'm so there. Yep, I really liked Pretty Broken Girl. Dakota is broken indeed, but she's strong, and I like how she behaved with Sam. I didn't necessarily like Sam, but I could sort of understand where his grumpy ass attitude came from, considering what he had been forced to think all the years they were apart.
Now the question is, can they truly make a second chance work? I certainly hope so and can't wait to read the rest of the series now!
