MY REVIEW

When Dagen happens upon an island, he learns he shouldn't be there, shouldn't even be able to see this island. And its inhabitants make it known he's an invasive, unwanted being. But out of all the lovely mermaid sisters who come to taunt him, there's one who instantly stands out - Davina, the redhead siren who will soon come to hold his heart in her sly little hands.

If you're looking for a sweet but modern take on The Little Mermaid, move on, because Siren isn't sweet. Nope. It's a bit twisted and dark, and Davina and her sisters aren't sweet and innocent like Ariel. They're literally sirens, the 7 princess daughters of King Triton. Davina and Dagen (and Tobias') story is certainly an inventive retelling of The Little Mermaid. I really liked it and have found in Hazel a great new author!
