Review: Whore (Chauvinist Stories #3) by Elise Faber
Eden is a former model turned actress. A woman who enjoys her pleasure. And why shouldn't she? She's single, she's independent, and men have been doing the same forever. But of course the double standards are still in place, so she's judged for enjoying herself and men are not judged. Sigh... But there's one man, the man who turned her from model to superstar with one photo shoot, one man she cares about and likes, with whom she's never allowed herself to cross that line from friendship to more. Until one night she lets herself cross that line, and then the man simply won't go away after!
Damon has long wanted more from Eden than simply friendship with flirting thrown in. But she's never let him in until one night. And now that he's had a taste of her, he's not going to let go. Nope. He had her once and now he wants her for always. He doesn't just want her body, though, he wants it all - her body, her heart, and her love. Somehow he'll get her to let down her walls and let him in. And he'll be by her side regardless of what the paparazzi throw at them, regardless of what her past is, regardless. Because this photographer is all about the forever, and Eden will just have to understand that when he loves, when his family loves, it's permanent.
Dang, this one was so much deeper than its title suggests! And I loved it. Eden has a really sad past that's shaped her in ways she doesn't like to think about. Thank God for gently persistent and loving Damon, because he's her rock, the man she needs, the man she deserves. They're so sweet together and I loved every page of their love story. Kudos to Elise for this thoughtful romance.
