Screens Apart by Charlie Novak

The secret? An anonymous blog featuring satin and lace.

The problems? Two crushes. One on his gorgeous, charming roommate, Taylor. And another on his charismatic online admirer, Mr. Smith.

When Taylor suggests they start hooking up, Simon is more than happy to agree, even if it means putting a lid on his feelings. After all, no-strings fun is better than nothing at all, right?

Except Simon’s not sure that lid will stay shut, especially when he starts to fall in love. But with Mr Smith in the same situation, advice is in short supply.

And there’s no chance Taylor and Smith are the same person… is there?

Screens Apart is a 55,000-word comedy of errors featuring panties, pining, and two men falling in love, complete with plenty of heat and fluffy feels. Originally released as a serial, this is the full collection with a new bonus epilogue. It contains no love-triangle and no cheating.
MY REVIEW
Simon is a teddy bear living in a muscular giant's body, and he has some secrets - one being that he LOVES manties, women's silky, lacy lingerie, and the way it feels on his skin. Two being that he has long held feelings for his roommate/friends with bennies, Taylor. And then there's his online sexy friend with whom he trades hot af sexts via his blog, Thick Boy in Lace. How can Simon have feelings for two different guys? And can he keep his heart intact as he's falling for Taylor, someone who doesn't want a real relationship or commitment?

Damn, this is one seriously hot story. It's also sweet and a bit fluffy, low on angst, and really enjoyable. I like the contrast in bodies/personalities with the big, buff guy being the submissive and shy one, while the smaller, slightly twinky guy is dominant and bossy and definitely the top in the relationship. Honestly, Simon is about the sweetest guy to grace my Kindle in a long time. He's a bit clueless, as is Taylor, with how they couldn't figure out they were actually talking to each other on Simon's blog all while falling in love and being roommates. But aside from both their cluelessness, I liked this sweet, seriously sexy story.

Excerpt

Simon
While I waited, I pulled my phone out of my pocket, my stomach doing a little flutter when I saw the new message notification on the Pornblr app.

MR. SMITH Sorry, I was stuck in a meeting and had a fucking awful day
MR. SMITH Did you do anything fun?

THICK BOY IN LACE I tried jerking off and playing with my toys but the batteries died
THICK BOY IN LACE So no fun for me =(

MR. SMITH Naughty boy! Fuck I love the idea of you playing with toys. Bet you look so good with a dildo buried in your ass
MR. SMITH I’d love to use some toys on you – tease you until you’re begging for it
MR. SMITH Then I’d fuck you so hard you’d feel it for days

Shit. I tried to stifle a groan because I wanted that so badly.

I didn’t even know who this man was but every time we talked like this, he managed to reduce me to a puddle within seconds.

We’d started chatting about six months ago when he’d messaged me on my blog to tell me how much he loved my pictures. Unlike most of the other guys who messaged me, he hadn’t started with a dick pic or some creepy message about how I should just get on my knees for him. He’d been friendly and funny, and we’d quickly become friends. Well, as much as we could be without sharing too much personal information.

But we hadn’t started sexting until a couple of months ago when he’d sent me a message about the latest photo I’d posted, asking if I knew what that did to him. I’d been horny and bored, so I’d flirted with him a little, telling him I had no idea and prompting him to tell me.

That had led to an intense and scorching series of messages and two fantastic orgasms.

Ever since then flirting and sexting had become part of our friendship. He’d even sent me the occasional pic, although it wasn’t ever much more than a shot of his hard cock. It wasn’t ever going to lead anywhere, I mean, I didn’t even know where he lived. But it was fun and made me feel so good about myself.

I’d never felt this wanted by anyone in my life.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
