MY REVIEW
After Gabby's father is killed, she gets an unexpected visit from the last man she expected to see, her ex-husband Declan. Not only that, but suddenly she has custody of her spoiled teenage brother, and her job may be in jeopardy. Things are not looking good...

Declan holds a lot of anger inside toward his ex-wife, but that does not mean he won't do his best to protect her. He may be angry at her, at the demise of their long ago marriage, but he still cares about her. Those feelings seem not to have gone away, rather, are magnified by the dangerous circumstances they've found themselves in. Perhaps a second chance is in store for them, if they can overcome all the obstacles in their path.

Full of intensity, suspense and passion, I loved this second chance story. Gabby and Declan are a power couple with lots of chemistry and I loved the little twist they encountered.

Victoria Paige writes romantic suspense with badass alpha males and smart, feisty heroines.
Her heroes are possessive, overprotective, and frequently the obsessed, jealous type with a penchant for strong language. Her heroines are strong-willed and intelligent women who can hold their own against a bossy hero. Her books are sexually explicit and may contain dark themes, morally ambiguous choices, and disturbing situations.
Victoria lives in Richmond, VA with her husband and their German Shepherd Dog.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
