MY REVIEW
Ellie's first love left her without just a written note the morning after their one and only night together. It was when she needed him the most, though, and he was gone. Her uncle was gone. Her dad was gone. Now years later, an adult with scars from her past, she's back in her hometown to write a piece on the mysterious benefactor, Devlin Saint, who is apparently a secretive angel investor. But when she comes face to face with the man, it shakes her to her very damaged core. And makes her want answers even more so than ever. Where has he been all this time?!?

Hot damn but I like where Ellie and Alex's story is going. Of course we didn't get answers, only lots of questions, and the angst between these two is high, really high. The push and the pull is delicious and I can tell Alex wants to just tell Ellie everything, give into the love neither ever got over, never let go, for the other. There is a cliffhanger, and I'm left very anxiously on the edge of my seat until I get the second part of this trilogy on my Kindle. Ugh. January is soooo far away that I just may perish before I get me some answers!
