BLURB
What’s the actual last thing you’d ever want your executive assistant to see you doing the morning after you had hot, drunk, angry sex with her in a terrible hotel room? Dancing around your terrible hotel room to “Come and Get Your Love” like Star-Lord in πΊπ‘’π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘‘π‘–π‘Žπ‘›π‘  π‘œπ‘“ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ πΊπ‘Žπ‘™π‘Žπ‘₯𝑦—naked? Yeah. Me too.

And yet, here we are.

This isn’t even the most unprofessional thing that’s happened between us in the past couple of weeks.

The first was when I agreed to let her have Christmas Day off, but only if she goes with me to three family gatherings as my fake girlfriend.

The second was when she caught me belting out a Christmas song on stage in the awful hotel bar.

The third was the hot, drunk, angry sex that followed, but I do not regret it.

And she hasn’t even found out the real reason I need her by my side this holiday season.

I need to pull it together before I do the dumbest, most unprofessional thing of all—fall head over heels in love with the only assistant who’s lasted more than a month at the job and claims to hate me and my moods more than she hates eggnog.

MY REVIEW
Maddie's scroogey boss drives her bananas, but she's got the situation under control. She's one of the few people who can actually keep him in line because she pretty much runs his life, in the office at least. Then he comes to her with a crazy contract - for her to go with him to his family's place over the holidays as his fake girlfriend. Um what? Yeah no. But she knows there's something sorta good underneath all the jerk, so she agrees. She knows she'll be fine because she can't stand him, and has no plans of touching him, let alone losing her heart to the grinch. Right?
Declan knows he's an ass. He also knows he wants his assistant. This contract getting Maddie to agree to be his fake girlfriend could be the best thing to ever happen to him, to them. IF he doesn't fuck it up as usual. IF he opens up his grinchey heart a bit this Christmas, and lets his fake turned real girlfriend in.

Office romances are one of my favorite tropes. Add in Christmas. Add in a sassy, sweet heroine and a mcgrumpster hot boss? Yeah I'm so there. A Very Bossy Christmas is the very best kind of office romance/holiday romance with its hot, hot chemistry and two lovable, snarky, funny characters who are just dying to find some mistletoe to kiss under.
TEASER
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Before writing steamy romantic comedy novels, Kayley Loring got a BFA in creative writing from a Canadian university and had a fifteen-year career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles (under a different name). She mostly wrote PG-13 family comedies that studios would pay her lots of money for and then never make into movies. In 2017 she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and write about all the fun stuff that she wasn't allowed to write about in those PG-13 scripts. Now she’s breathing cleaner air and writing dirtier words. It’s an adjustment she’s happily getting used to.

My book boyfriends go with me everywhere. I prefer them tall, dark, and handsome, but I don’t discriminate. They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. With his Clark Kent glasses and brooding stare, he’s a superhero in disguise. And his superpower? Melting panties with a single

Cover Reveal: A Little Luck by Tia Louise

Tia Louise has revealed the covers for A Little Luck! Releasing December 14, 2023 Adam Stone is not a saint. He’s six-foot-two, naughty blue eyes, cocky grin, and a bod blessed by the gods. He’s a surfer, a soldier, a pilot, and he’s been my friend since I moved to our small town when we were just kids. But another man took my hand. He took my innocence, took my trust, and broke my heart. I was young. I didn’t know love could be a weapon. I didn’t know the hand that caressed you could also cut you. Now that man is dead, and I’m a single-mom survivor wearing a mask so perfect, no one knows the truth. Trust doesn’t come easy, and surviving is a hard habit to break. But when a plumbing disaster leaves me homeless, one night in Adam Stone’s (supposedly) empty bed changes everything. I’ve hidden my scars so long, I don’t know how else to be, but I want to try. I’m in love with Adam Stone. I love every glance, every wink, every furtive touch… He says he’s different. He sa
