Review / Blog Tour: Spells (Bayou Magic #2) by Kristen Proby

Spells by Kristen Proby is now live!
From New York Times Bestselling Author, Kristen Proby, comes Spells, the next installment in her gripping Bayou Magic series...

As a powerful hedgewitch and psychic, there isn't much I can't work to my advantage and finesse with a spell. Love, fortune, and even the perfect cup of coffee are all possible with the snap of my fingers.

But some things are utterly beyond my control.

Like the powerful and broody warlock who's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember--and even the lifetimes I often can't. Things almost as dangerous as Lucien Bergeron's hold on me and the breathtaking smiles only I get to see.

Or the evil still stalking the streets of New Orleans that beckons to me to see. To feel. To die.

With everything riding on a razors-edge, and things that have been portended coming to fruition, threatening both me and those I love, I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to resist my fate. Or his charm.

If I work with Lucien, it could mean the end for both of us.

If I don't, those I love most will pay.

MY REVIEW
Though she's known Lucien for most of her life, he unsettles Millie. She's been dreaming of him, he's helped her, he's in her life. And yet she keeps avoiding him when possible because there's a connection between them she doesn't want to face yet. But it will be this connection that will be her biggest strength when facing the evil that first made itself known in Shadows, Millie's sister Brielle's story.

I thouht I loved Shadows, and I DO, but I think Spells just might have it beat. This continuing story of three powerful sisters, and the men who love them, is just as creepy, if not creepier, and truly as cringe-worthy as its predecessor. And Millie and Lucien are H O T together! I love that their bond is a timeless soulmate kind of bond, and I especially love that it's their bond that really came through for them in the end when they were fighting the big fight. As it's now only 4 days until Halloween, the spookiest day of the year, Spells could have not have come at a better, more appropriate time. Just in time to freak me out and make me fall in love all over again with the Bayou Magic world, and make me even more anxious for the last sister's story!

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
