MY REVIEW
Bentley is a rookie player on the Austin Rattlers basketball team. He's young (although not THAT young), he's cocky, and he's immediately taken with one of the flight attendants on his first flight. Jolene's not having it, though, as she's been burned by her ex. But Bentley's persistence, and his sweet side, one that's masked most of the time, eventually wear her down and she gives into their attraction. But will living her life in the spotlight of the rookie's life be too much for Jolene? Will she use it as an excuse to end things to protect her heart?
This is a sweet sports romance, with great chemistry between the two leads, but I have to admit that Jolene frustrated me with her negative disposition and her fear of getting hurt. She's really the only low point, though, as everything else is great - the basketball, the chemistry, and especially Bentley, who's sweet, hot and has a vulnerable side that isn't found often in athletes in contemporary romance. This is a good addition the Vi and Penelope's Cocky Hero Club.
