MY REVIEW

Freshman year. A girl. A gorgeous girl with a dandelion tattoo on her nape, dancing alone. Dillon's entranced. But there's a legend...yeah that same one from I Dare You. The one that says if you kiss by the bonfire it'll be the one you never forget, she'll be the one you never forget. Can Dillon get the girl? Well if you know anything about Ilsa's fabulous college romances, you'll already know the answer - yes, but not without a lot of obstacles to be hazarded through, not without some heartbreak and pain, and not without love finally.

Serena doesn't trust men, not after what her ex did to her. Plus she's got a lot on her plate like getting through grad school and helping raise her sister. So when this guy Dillon enters her world and tries his damndest to get to her, she's not having it. She doesn't even like him, let alone want him (sure...) but there's something about him. All she knows is she has to keep her heart away from the football god, because it cannot possibly take another beating like it did from her ex.

Dillon's got a lot of pressure on him. He just wants to take his team all the way. Then he wants to go pro. He doesn't want to be distracted. But then this gorgeous creature buys all his favorite beer because he buys all the Oreos. And there's something familiar about her. And damn does he want her, can't get her out of his mind. Is it possible she's the girl from the bonfire? The girl he's measured all others against? The girl who will bring him to his knees?

Hm, I wasn't sure if it was possible, but I think I found my new favorite Ilsa couple. I have loved so many of her couples, from Maverick and Delaney in I Dare You, to Rose and Spider in Spider, but I think Serena and Dillon have somehow slipped their way past all of them with their combination of sizzling chemistry and most significantly, the way they really saw each other, understood the other. I loved Serena's sass and wit, and the way Dillon's cocky jock façade was just masking his insecurities. It's not often a jock is portrayed as being less than god-like, so when Ilsa went that route, there went my heart - melting along with Serena's. Yep, he's one swoony ass man and Serena is perfect for him.
