Review / Release Blitz: Best Friends Don't Kiss by Max Monroe

Best friends don’t kiss…
But maybe it doesn’t count if it’s pretend?

Best Friends Don’t Kiss, an all new LOL flirty and swoon-worthy friends-to-lovers rom com from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe available now!
Goal: Find a boyfriend, get married, buy a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence, and pop out 2.5 kids.

Deadline: Sixty days.

That’s possible, right?

HAHAHA. *Faints*

I’m kidding. Well, kind of. I mean, I’m not going to attempt a shotgun wedding or try to get knocked up by some guy I met on the internet, but there is no doubt that, this year, home for the holidaystakes on a whole new, terrifying meaning.

I have to travel from New York City—my home and safe haven for the last fifteen years—to my tiny hometown in Vermont for Christmas, my baby sister’s wedding, and my high school reunion.

Talk about a trifecta of single-doom.

Throw in Callie Camden—aka my high school class’s version of Regina George—and it’s a recipe for certified disaster.

Especially since my mouth ran away from me when she asked me if I’d be bringing someone to our reunion, and I told her to put me down for two.
Gah. Now I can’t go alone.

But the online dating world is a cesspool of bad manners, speedy hookups, and outright weirdos.

Handsome, single, successful—that’s what I’m looking for.
And it just so happens that my best friend Luke London fits all of the criteria.

The only problem is best friends don’t kiss…

But maybe it doesn’t count if it’s pretend?

MY REVIEW
Ava needs a date for her sister's wedding and her 15 year reunion. Who better than her gorgeous, sweet best friend, Luke. Except what is supposed to be a "fake" date will turn into much, more more because the feelings, the attraction between these two best friends have always been there just lying dormant, ready to spark.

You know, sometimes best friends to lovers can be dicey, can be angsty and unsatisfying. But in the hands of the best rom-com duo around, I just knew Luke and Ava would be OK. And they were OK, much more than OK, superb in fact. Best Friends Don't Kiss is sweet, fun and funny, witty, and most definitely emotionally satisfying. I love how well they seamlessly fit each other, the way only long time best friends can, and ultimately, how so in love they are.

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
