Will she be the one to get through to Kai? Or will his pain be too much for him to get past?
This is a very emotional read. Charlotte was determined to get into Kai's heart. She wanted to know what the secrets and the pain were that she saw in his eyes. He was a lot of work, though. And honestly I was afraid he was so damaged that he'd never fully connect with Charlotte. I didn't really connect with him, but I liked Charlotte a lot, and I liked their story.
