Review / Release Blitz: Captured in Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder #4.5) by Carrie Ann Ryan

"Carrie Ann Ryan writes the perfect balance of sweet and heat ensuring every story feeds the soul." - Audrey Carlan, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Captured in Ink, an all-new Montgomery Ink: Boulder Novella high on heat and emotion from New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan and 1,001 Dark Nights is available now!
New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan returns to the Montgomery Ink world with three souls bruised yet forever connected in this sexy and intoxicating ménage romance.

Julia and Ronin know their relationship is solid. They’ve been through hell and back, but their love has stayed true through it all. When Ronin’s ex, Kincaid, comes back to town, however, the two realize what they might be missing.

Kincaid didn’t mean to leave Ronin behind all those years ago. When tragedy struck not once, but twice, bringing with it the heat of horror, he couldn’t face the past he’d left behind. Now, he’s back and doesn’t know how he fits in with the seemingly perfect couple—especially not when their families will apparently stop at nothing to keep them apart.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

MY REVIEW
Julia and Ronin are happily married but have been wanting a missing thread to add to their love. That thread comes in the form of Ronin's former love, Kinkaid. When Kinkaid walked away years ago from the man he loved, he only did so at great pain to himself. Now he's back, having crawled out of the dark hole he had been in. He's too late, though, because his love is married, apparently very happily. He doesn't realize he could be just the missing person the two of them are looking for.

This is a short, sweet, hot second chance menage. I liked all three characters, and felt the strong emotions the felt, as well as the intense chemistry all three shared. As this was a novella, I wasn't expecting a thoroughly fleshed out story, and it wasn't, but it was still complete. I wish there were more coming from these three lovable characters.

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
