Review / Release Blitz: Fighting Dirty (Ice Kings #5) by Stacey Lynn

For one weekend only, she’s mine, even if she thinks it’s fake.
Fighting Dirty, an all-new sexy friends-to-lovers standalone romance in the not-to-be-missed Ice Kings Series from Stacey Lynn is available now!
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my best friend.

Like, hide the fact I’ve been in love with her for years.

Or agree to be her fake boyfriend when we have to return to her hometown for her exes wedding.

Little does Jillian know this is what I’ve been waiting for.

It’s a dream come true. I finally get to touch her and love her in all the ways I’ve been dying to show her.

For one weekend only, she’s mine, even if she thinks it’s fake.
Pretending to love her is easy. I want her to be mine forever.

Getting Jillian to admit it’s what she wants too, is another thing.

On or off the ice, I have no problems fighting dirty to get what I want.

But this is one fight I might just lose.

MY REVIEW
When Jillian, Klaus' best friend, needs him to be her fake boyfriend while attending her cheating ex's wedding, Klaus has zero hesitation when saying yes. The weekend will be the perfect time to tell her that he's been in love with her for years. Does Jillian feel the same? Will she open up her heart again, even with the possibility of getting her heart broken and losing her best friend?

This has been such a great hockey series, and Fighting Dirty just kept up the momentum. Friends to lovers can be tricky to write, but Stacey did an excellent job because Klaus and Jillian were so entertaining, having the kind of easy familiarity that only long-time best friends have, with the added electric chemistry that only the hottest couples have. I might have wanted to shake Jillian a time (or two or three) when she wimped out and hurt them both, but I could understand where she was coming from, considering her lack of a strong, loving parental unit, but in the end, love won out. But really, the very best part of Fighting Dirty is Klaus. He is so freaking sweet and swoony, and beyond sexy to boot, endlessly patient with Jillian's insecurities, and her emotional and physical rock. He's the stuff romance (and hockey player) dreams are made of.
Meet Stacey Lynn
Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.

The author of over thirty romance novels, many of which have been best-selling titles on Amazon, AppleBooks, and Barnes & Noble, she loves being able to turn her vivid imagination into a career that brings entertainment and joy to her readers. Focused on sports romance and emotional, small-town romance, she also loves stretching herself in different genres.

Born in Texas and raised in the Midwest, she now makes her home in North Carolina and loves all things Southern. Together with her ultimate tall, dark, and handsome hero, she has four children. Her life is a chaotic mess that fights with her Type-A, list-making, neurotically organized preferences and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
