Review / Release Blitz: Only One Night (Only One #3) by Natasha Madison

Release Date: January 5
From USA Bestseller Natasha Madison comes a brand new Hockey series The Only One.
Manning
As captain of the Dallas Oilers, I was their leader on and off the ice. From the outside, it looked like I had the perfect life.

I didn’t.

I was married to a woman who refused to give me a divorce. All she wanted was the status title, and all I wanted was to be set free.

It was supposed to be just another event, except it took a turn I didn’t see coming.

Evelyn
Attending my best friend’s bachelorette party isn’t something I was looking forward to.
But it’s strange what a couple of glasses of wine will do.

It was one night, and I thought I would never see him again.

Especially not coming face-to-face with him and his wife while picking up my nephew from hockey practice.

All it takes is one kiss, one touch, one chance, and only one night.

MY REVIEW
The hottest night of her life is staring back at Evelyn and he's married, yes, married. It was supposed to be one night not to be repeated, never to see each other again. That night may have been hot, but it also did something to Evelyn's heart a bit, and now it's all ruined because Manning is the worst kind of jerk. Why did she have to see him again?! Why did he have to be less than the memory she was planning on taking with her forever?!
Manning's been in a loveless marriage for years now, only staying because his cold af wife uses their son against him whenever he tries to get her to divorce him. Not that he's tried too hard, instead, just living a separate life in separate parts of his house, just drifting through his life. Then he forges a connection with the most beautiful woman he's ever seen when he spends a passionate night with her. A night that was not supposed to repeated, nor were they ever to see each other again. They definitely weren't supposed to see each other when he had his wife and son with him...

Only One Night was kind of painful (though beautiful also) to read. Not that I didn't enjoy it, because I definitely did, it was just hard to read Evelyn's (and Manning's) pain when they realized the situation they were in. Manning definitely should have taken steps to end his marriage far before he met Evelyn, and she was just the nudge he needed to finally sever those ties. Unfortunately, Evelyn bore the brunt of the pain as the two of them maneuvered around his marriage. But I loved reading their journey, painful as it was, emotional as it was as Manning finally got the happiness he deserved with the most amazing woman and his beautiful, adorable son.

Meet Natasha Madison
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
