18-year-old Skylar has a terrible home life when an older, tattooed sweetheart named Jude (Lucky) helps her one day, and seems to always be there after when she needs help again. But it's when he offers her the ultimate help - a marriage of convenience, that their relationship and lives change, permanently.

I fell in love, hard, with Jude, his Sparkles, and their story. It reminds me in some ways of my favorite Carian story, Torn, what with the age gap, friends to lovers, but it's its own story entirely. It's a long, slow burn journey these two take, with sizzling tension, lots of miscommunication, and more than a little pain as they find their way to happiness.
