MY REVIEW
Colleen's heart was broken by a boy and she's not about to let that boy, now a man, break her again. Except now, 10 years later, Finn's back, even if it's just for her father's funeral, and she's finding the chemistry they once shared is still there. Can she find it in her bruised heart to give him a second chance?
Brother's best friend romances tend to capture my interest, and they're usually angsty and fun, forbidden love and all that, but this one was deeper than that. What Colleen, and Finn, went through isn't something I'd wish on anyone. Yet she got through it all the stronger, and I was so proud of her near the end when she stood tall and said her piece. Finn was equally amazing, and the perfect man for Colleen. I loved their second chance love story and I loved them as a couple.
Meet Kate
Kate McBrien writes sexy and witty contemporary romance. She has an MA in art history and has taught art history at a local college. For many years, Kate has worked as a dental hygienist, courageously offering encouragement to her non-flossing patients.

She has always enjoyed writing but became more serious after being encouraged by a friend to participate in National Novel Writing Month. She began writing historical fiction but soon realized that the romance was taking over the history.

Kate is a San Francisco Bay Area native who lives near the beach with her husband and Lola, their spoiled Labrador Retriever. When not writing, she enjoys cooking, music, movies, reading, and fangirling over Jamie Dornan.
