MY REVIEW

Daisy and Scout had been friends for a long time when they spent a week indulging in a hot fling. He had Hollywood dreams and she had dreams of becoming a traveling antiques dealer, so unfortunately that fling was not going to be leading to anything permanent. She knew she had to let him go, lest he stay and end up resenting her. Now it's years later, and he's back in town. For how long, she doesn't know. She does know she has something to tell him that he'll never see coming. Something she probably should have told him much earlier. How will Scout react?

Scout's the guy who told the NFL no to go chase his Hollywood dreams. Well, those dreams didn't exactly pan out, and now he's back in town to see his girl. She may not really be his, though, and he means to find out. When he finds out something completely out of left field, he blinks for a minute. But it will end up being the best thing to ever happen to him. It means he definitely has a chance with Daisy, and it means unconditional love. Now the only question is, when Hollywood comes a calling again, will he answer or will he realize that his heart belongs with Daisy?

I remember meeting Scout in his brother J.R.'s story, This Much is True, and thinking what a sweetheart he was, in contrast to J.R.'s grumpy broodiness. He's still that same sweetheart in his own story, and I love how sweet and easy he and Daisy are together. Of course there's tension, there's always tension when a second chance is on the horizon, but it's dealt with with the same easy spirit and warmth that is innate to both Daisy and Scout. Sexy, sweet, with small town charm and a whole cast of lovable characters - signature Tia. I loved it and am now eagerly awaiting Daisy's cousin Sly's story with Sebastian, Daisy's associate and friend.
