She’s my sister’s best friend…

The night we hooked up was definitely the best in my life. But you know sisters—they make things complicated.

So Maeve and I called it one and done, and for the sake of their friendship, we pretended it never happened.

It’s pretty easy to develop a routine. We joke around, make fun of each other. And I never let on that I know what Maeve looks like without her clothes—or how often I think about it.

I’m starting to think we pulled it off when out-of-the-blue she sashays back into my jewelry store. The visit starts like normal. The banter. The teasing.

But then she invites me to a party. And what kind of gentleman would I be if I didn’t walk her home after?

Let’s be real—I’m no gentleman. And Maeve is no lady.

The kind of teasing we’re doing now is dangerous. This is fast becoming a frenemies-with-benefits situation. It’s complicated enough before my sister decides to set us up… with other people.

We can only keep our secret for so long.

I’m starting to think there might be a diamond in all this rough.

But Maeve never lets me have the last word...

MY REVIEW
A one time hookup never to be repeated again has Toby and Maeve in denial of their real feelings for each other. But 6 years later and that attraction and those feelings are still there. Will they give in again? Or is the player with a romantic's heart doomed to never getting inside his true love's heart?

Bad Boy Benefits is not what I was expecting. Well, not completely. It is fun and lighthearted with witty banter, all of which I expected, but it also has a couple whose connection I couldn't quite feel. I felt their physical connection, as it was obvious they were attracted to each other, but their emotional connection was a bit lacking for me. Perhaps because Maeve was pretty cold, and unfortunately, felt too shallow to feel strong feelings. Even near the very end she was denying she had strong feelings for poor Toby, and it added to my disconnect with this couple, and added to my dislike of her. So, though it has JD's signature witty banter and sexy hero, the heroine grated on my last nerve, and I couldn't get behind them as a lasting couple. That's why the 4 rather than 5 stars.

My book boyfriends go with me everywhere. I prefer them tall, dark, and handsome, but I don’t discriminate. They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
