Thane knows better than to get involved with Regan of all people. Not only is she his children's nanny, but she's his soon to be s-i-l's sister, the sister who abandoned her when she needed her most. But he can't seem to resist her and the allure she presents. But it's just some forbidden funk right? His heart has been closed for business for ages now, and no one is about to ever change that, not even this woman who he's soon finding is not the person he had misjudged her to be. Can he let himself feel again or will he lose her by pushing her away?
Though I haven't read the first installment of this series (I have it on my Kindle but haven't read it yet), I was easily able to get into Regan and Thane's story. Not only that, but I fell in love with it, with them, in short order. Regan was far more than she had been judged to be, she more than redeemed herself, and Thane was perfect for her, especially once his brother had a very enlightening talk with him and made him take his head out of his ass near the end. There with You is one of those stories that I'll remember for a very long time - it's slow burn deliciousness, suspenseful, and has loving, complex and damaged characters I couldn't help but love.
