MY REVIEW
Piper's come back to the island that holds so many memories. She wants to do right by her lost friend, and that means fixing up the property she's purchased. The guy overseeing the construction will either be the one to hold her up and protect her when the past comes calling, or his own demons will be too much for their fledgling relationship to bear.

Hunter has his own pain, and he recognizes it lurking in Piper's beautiful eyes. She's sassy and determined to prove how independent she is, but something about her brings out all his protective instincts. Can he prove to her he can be her support and her protection, without overwhelming her independence? Will they both be left standing when her past seems determined to bring her down?

This series has never failed to bring out all the feels, and it did it even more so than usual with Piper and Hunter's story. I wanted to hug them both as they fought their demons, fought their feelings for each other, and then finally gave into their chemistry, gave into what their hearts wanted.
