Winnie (youngest daughter of Mack and Frannie from Irresistible), is all grown up and has decided she's done with men. Dex has his hands full raising two precocious, all too intuitive daughters, so when a sunshiney sweetheart comes into his life, he's not about to take a chance on a relationship, on love. He doesn't have the time, or the inclination, for anything but his daughters. But she's persistent and taking aim at his walls, and he's having a very hard time resisting her. Can he open himself up to her? For his and his daughters' sakes?
I loved Winnie and Dex. Grumpy/sunshine is always fun, and when you add in the two most adorable, mischievous little girls, yep, I was a goner for all of them from the first page. More than its fair share of heart, heat from more than just Dex's firefighter job, and the perfect setting made Ignite the best thing to read right before the holidays.
