EXCERPT:
“Are you dating anyone?”
“I wish,” Presley mutters.
“Oh?” I lean in, erasing most of the distance forcing us apart.
“It’s an inside joke. Never mind.”
“So, there’s no special guy in your life?” I need her to confirm it.
She shifts forward with an exhale, close enough to touch. “Other than Archie? Nope.”
That mends a wound I didn’t notice was still festering. The persistent throb in my temples ebbs. “I’m tired of pretending, Pep.”
“Then stop,” she whispers.
On pure instinct, I curl a palm around her nape and pull until she collides flush along my chest. Our mouths meet automatically. We melt into the intimate embrace, achingly familiar even after years apart. Our bodies remember what we were willing to ignore. Never again. I’m instantly transported to the days when this was as natural as breathing. It’s everything I’ve been missing, yet not nearly enough.
Her tongue slips out to tease my bottom lip. I part my mouth on a groan. Teeth gnash while the heat builds. Hands wander with tempting touches, stoking the flames. She scoots to the edge of her seat, nearly straddling me. With each passing second that we spend tangled together, the unknown between us disappears.
My fingers spear into her hair and guide our movements. Presley is mine again, at least for a moment. That’s a heady sensation and I haul her tighter against me. Feverish lust floods me when she nudges my cock with her pelvis. I’m hard and reeling, ready to suggest we ditch this public space.
Before I can do just that, Presley rips her mouth away with a gasp. “What was that for?”
“The last six years without.”

Blurb:
“This doesn’t have to be the end for us.”
Except it was.
What did we know about happily ever after at the age of eighteen?
Mason Braxter was a football legend—destined for glory far bigger than the confines of our small town.
Meanwhile, I had dreams of my own—a simpler life that included staying put and growing roots.
And all those plans of mine were going splendidly.
Until one drunken mishap a month before college graduation left me staring at two pink lines.
Then I was sharing custody with the most unlikely baby daddy.
We’ve figured out a system. Kind of.
I’m rocking this single mom gig. Mostly.
If only I could get a boost in the romance department.
As if summoned by my dry spell, Mason Braxter makes a sudden reappearance in Meadow Creek.
Six years have gone by, yet I can still remember every stupidly sculpted muscle on his body.
How easy it would be to fall back into old habits.
But I’m not that foolish girl anymore.
That doesn’t deter my all-star ex from trying to prove we can do it right this time.
For all his efforts, I might let him scratch my itch once. Maybe twice.
Definitely not thrice.
