Ellie has been looking for a way to promote Etoile, where she's the sommelier, and she's found the perfect way - do a tasting at the home of the editor of Tastemaker magazine, where she'll talk up their wines and put in her name for 30 Under 30 list. But to do it, it looks like she's got a co-rider, her least favorite person, frenemy Gianni Lupo. He's the man who has driven her nuts since they were toddlers. She can't bring him along, though, because he'll just suck up all the energy in the room and she'll be invisible to Fiona and co. And he might do something much, much worse, cause her to give into the latent chemistry that's always existed between them.
Gianni has loved teasing Ellie, the girl he grew up with, since they first met. He's never quite acknowledged that the real reason he teases her is that he might have stronger feelings for her than random attraction and casual affection, but when forced confines and a little bit (a lot) of alcohol have them finally giving into their lust, will the consequences give them a chance to explore deeper feelings?
Ah these two...so much unsaid lay between them, so much tension that it was obvious there was more to them than the average boy picking on the girl. Gianni was immature and a cocky idiot for most of it, but he wasn't without his sweet charm, and more than redeemed himself by the time the end came around. Ellie had her defenses set on high, understandably so, but she couldn't hold out forever against a Lupo, right? I knew this story would be great, how could the story of the children two of my favorite Harlow couples not be awesome? It has her signature laughs with the sizzling chemistry and two adorable characters who had obviously been in love with each other their whole lives.
