Review / Release Blitz: Only a Crush (Kasper Ridge #2) by Delancey Stewart

Release Date: May 23

I'm the girl who defies expectations. The girl who'll never stay inside that box you think will fit me.

And right now? I'm the girl working as event planner at my Navy pal's mountain resort. We flew together in the Navy, and it feels right to be back with my squadron mates when they need help now.

But when I agreed to go check out some rustic backcountry cabins for the resort's opening event, I didn't plan on the so, so hot Mateo coming along with me. He's a contractor at the resort, and he has this whole grumpy single dad widower thing going on... But since he's got a kid, and family is the last thing I want, I'm staying far, far away.

Until we get stranded together in one of those cabins in a freak snowstorm.

And now? Staying away from him is the last thing I want to do. But he doesn't fit my life plans any more than I fit his.
It's a couple days (and insanely hot nights) in a cabin. Nothing else. I can do this. It's only a crush, after all.

A full length standalone happily ever after with a mystery that runs through the whole Kasper Ridge series from USA Today bestseller Delancey Stewart.

MY REVIEW

Former Navy pilot, Annalee, has been attracted to hot contractor Mateo for awhile now, but she can tell it's not reciprocated, considering he usually avoids her. But when a storm forces the two to spend some time just together in a cold cabin, she finds out just how attracted to her he actually is. But, outside of their bubble and back into their real lives will mean she has to figure out if she wants a place in Mateo and his daughter's lives. She's never wanted a family before, has always done things her own way, not the way her parents wanted her to. Are her feelings for Mateo enough to keep her here, or will she head off to Paris in search of her next adventure?

First things first - I love Annalee! She's strong, independent and does things her way, not willing to be the one blindly following her parents' wishes for her. She's the real standout for me, but Mateo is definitely her equal, a downright swoony single dad whose priority is his adorable, precocious daughter. Their chemistry practically singed my Kindle, and their emotional connection is even stronger than their physical one. This is the first story in this series that I've read, but after having fallen in love with Annalee, Mateo and Lily, it definitely won't be the last.

Meet Delancey Stewart
I'm USA Today Bestselling author Delancey Stewart. My contemporary romances run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It's a guarantee.

I write from my home near Denver, CO, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there'd be no math in this bio. Someone lied.) There is also a dog named Charlie Taco.

I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher... I'm not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do!

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
