She’s the one he wants.
And he’s not going to give her up without a fight.

As the newly named captain of the San Francisco Gold, Josh is used to pressure and hard work.
What he’s not used to?
Women despising him.
Jess, however, has taken an instant dislike to him, and no matter what he tries to do, he can’t seem to get beyond her prickly exterior.
But then he discovers that her prickly exterior is hiding the same need that’s been burning through him.
Then he discovers that she wants him.
And it’s decided...
He’s never letting her go.

MY REVIEW

Will Josh ever be able to redeem himself in Jess' eyes? Their first meeting left her with a less than positive first impression of him, but he's pined for her ever since and has tried to show her his true self ever since. Can he move beyond his insecurities and prove to her that he's not going anywhere?

Jess' past has left her unable to trust, and she's a grudge holder, so when Josh wasn't exactly charming during their first meeting, she never bothered to look beyond it. But he's persistent, so persistent, and she's slowly opening up to the quiet guy who turns out to be a wonderful person. But with his insecurities and her demons, can this pair make a relationship work?

Josh is probably my favorite guy in this series, even more so than Ethan from Caged. He's similar to Ethan actually, in that he's not the stereotypical athlete - cocky and swaggering, in fact, he's quite the opposite with insecurities, is quiet and unassuming, and I absolutely loved him for all of those things. He is extremely patient with Jess, another reason to love him, calmly waiting for her to let him in, and was rewarded when Jess finally gave him her all.

The Gold Hockey series just keeps getting better, with stronger storylines and more developed characters. Josh and Jess are just such a great couple and just as great individually. Both have issues, which makes them even more relatable, and is one of the reasons why they work so perfectly together. Their chemistry is smoking hot, the feels are in abundance, and now I'm looking forward to more hockey players falling in love.

Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
