MY REVIEW
Sophia moved to LA to pursue her dream of writing screenplays but so far she's only managed to find jobs as a dog walker and a barista, with no movement on her dream. Then one of her dog walking clients, A-list actor, Roman, comes along with a proposal: pretend to be his girlfriend to get the paps attention on him and not on his brother's loss, and he'll in turn introduce her to the right people in the industry to get her screenplays read. It sounds easy enough but Sophia didn't account when fake turns real. Or is it? Is Rome actually feeling what she is, or has he been manipulating her since the very beginning?
Rome's been in this industry for so long that it's made him into the kind of guy he never wanted to be - selfish, manipulative and uncaring of how his behavior affects others. Then his dog falls in love with his dog walker, and Rome's world is turned upside down. Manipulating her into a fake dating arrangement, supposedly for his brother and niece's sakes, was the best thing he ever did, because Sophia is the best thing to ever happen to him. Now he just has to decide if he can be the man she deserves, or continue down the path of selfish behavior he's been walking on for so long.
Sophia is the star of her story - she's sweet, adorable and just wants to pursue her dream. She's really far too good for the likes of Rome, so luckily for him, he learned from his mistakes and horrible behavior, and redeemed himself. Their chemistry is hot, though, and the story is great. I'm excited for the next installment, I really hope it's Rome's brother Kingston who falls in love next.
