My imitation of our billionaire boss had everyone ROFL. Well...almost everyone. Worst. Butt-dial. Ever!
Butt-dialing the Billionaire by Annika Martin is now live!
It was just some silly fun. A goofy imitation of the faceless mega-billionaire who owns our faceless international mega-corporation.
And yes, there was laughter. Possibly a few hoots and screams.
How was I to know that Dave from accounting had sat on the speakerphone, butt-dialing said mega-billionaire? Or that he'd listen to me make fun of him for ten straight minutes.
Ummm...he could've announced himself!
They say he's a notorious rake. A paparazzi-punching scoundrel. An international jet-set bad boy.
And now I hear he's determined to track down the jokester. Me.
Eep!
But we're tight like family in this office—no way will my co-workers rat me out, in spite of the pressure from the top. Plus, who brings the cookies? Moi!
Things die down after a few months, and I'm pretty sure I'm safe.
Thank goodness, because I have my hands full with our lazy, arrogant new office gopher. He has the worst work ethic I've ever seen—how did he even get hired? He doesn't know how to work a vending machine, and he's baffled when we send around a card to be signed for somebody's birthday. It's as if he's never set foot in a place of business in his life.
But little by little, we're drawing closer. He's funny. Sexy. Wicked. Still, he's all wrong for me. I like respectable men with a work ethic.
Also, I can't shake the feeling that he's hiding something…

MY REVIEW
Jada made one little mistake - imitating the owner of the company she works for, and suddenly the man's decided to hunt the earth to find out who did the funny (not to him) imitation of him. Thank God her coworkers have her back and won't rat her out. Sounds all good and it is, but she still has other problems. Problems of the very hot but very annoying kind. The new guy Jaxon drives her batty and she can't seem to get him out of her mind. Nor can she figure out why she thinks he's hiding something from her...
Jaxon's masquerading here at the company he owns. He plans on finding the woman who imitated him, and when he does...oh boy! But meanwhile he's trying not to fit in because he doesn't want to fit in with these people. Except somehow he's finding he really likes them all, especially the sassiest one of them all - Jada. Though she absolutely drives him nuts and gets under his skin like no one ever has before, he's also insanely attracted to her and it's really not something he can deal with in any way but to keep up snarking back everytime she throws her sass at him. Sass he's coming to love...
I freaking love these two! The snark and jabs, all Jada's sass, just barely masking their seriously hot lust for each other. But among all the fun and witty snark, there's a heartbreaking backstory - Jaxon's - that balanced out the fun and the heat, making for a well-drawn, steamy enemies to lovers story. These billionaires of Manhattan are so awesome, I can't wait for more of them falling in love!
