BLURB
For me family is everything so I cannot fall for the enemy.

With six siblings and a failing ad agency, I’m single by choice.
I have no room in my life for men, especially not friend-of-the-family MLB pitcher Austin Callaway.
He’s probably got all sorts of ways to hit home runs. But with other women and, thankfully, not with me.
Especially since his younger sister is the girl who just cheated on my baby brother.
I thought I’d never have to talk to him again, but to save my family’s ad agency, I take one last swing and make a deal with the devil.
Austin needs me to act as his pseudo-nurse. Talk about a curveball. Why would I ever do that?
If I do, he’ll give me a deal that will save our family business, and just like that, all my problems will be solved, right?
Wrong.
Because Austin is always there. Which means Austin is always close by. Always with me.
Always smiling, like he’s about to steal first base. That smile will be the end of me.
I could fall for him. Madly. Deeply. And completely.
And that alone is the reason I can’t date him. My family can never find out what play made the difference, not when his sister destroyed my brother's life.
How can I finally find happiness when hate and love are about to collide?

MY REVIEW

When Sydney starts suspecting her brother's fiancée is cheating on him, and she sets out to prove it, a chain reaction of events occurs that brings her and Austin, said fiancée's brother, to a deal: she helps him after he gets out of the hospital, and he in turn will save her family's company. Should be a no brainer, but she doesn't count on the attraction between the two of them burning out of control. She can keep her heart safe, though, because she knows this relationship has an expiration date...

Forced proximity, a swoony baseball player and a strong, caring heroine combine for a heartfelt romance. Sydney is the caretaker of her family, always taking care of her siblings, so of course she took it upon herself to check out her suspicion that her brother was being cheated on. I felt for her, but this very nature of hers brought her to Austin, so it worked out for her. Their chemistry is sizzling, and though neither was looking for love, it definitely found them.

ABOUT MIA KAYLA
Mia Kayla is a USA Today Bestselling Romance writer who lives in Illinois. She is the wife to the husband of the year, and mommy to three unbelievably cute little girls who have multiplied her grey hairs.

In her free time she loves reading romance novels, jamming to boy bands, catching up on celebrity gossip and designing flowers for weddings.

Most of the time, she can be caught on the train with her nose in a book sporting a cheeky grin because the main characters finally get their happily-ever-after at the end. She loves reading about happy endings but has more fun writing them.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Review Blitz: The Challenge by Penelope Ward

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
