It was time to celebrate.
After all my hard work, I was graduating at the top of my class.
Our family vacation was the perfect chance to relax.
Until I saw him get on the plane and my plans went out the window.
Tristan's everything I've always wanted but can never have.
One night was all we had together.
Now, I’m staring at the two pink lines wondering if I should even tell him.

Tristan
Six years ago, I was living for myself until I found out I had a two-year-old daughter.
Now, I love my life exactly how it is: me, my daughter and hockey.
Except—I've been in love with Abigail from afar for years.
She was the only one I trusted my daughter with.
One night with her is more than I deserve.
Now that I've had her, I know she was made for us.

MY REVIEW

Abigail and Tristan have pined for each other for years, never knowing their feelings were reciprocated. But neither ever acted on their feelings until a vacation to celebrate her graduation. Now she's facing a decision: tell Tristan and risk him rejecting her, or not tell him and let go of what could be that great love so many in her family have found.

Tristan never knew what true love was until he met his previously unknown to him, daughter, Penelope. But someone else has had his heart for so long now, too, someone he has one shot with. If he messes it up, who knows if he'll ever get another chance. Can he convince Abby she's made for him? Him and his daughter?

Tristan and Abby's road is a bumpy one, especially near the end when she makes a truly stupid choice. Thank God Tristan is the sweet, patient, and loving guy he is and sticks with her. He and his daughter are why I love this story so much. Abby really irritated me but I could sorta see her side, if not agree with her. As a couple, they're adorable, finally getting on the same page after not knowing how they had feelings for each other for so long, and when Penelope is added to the story, she steals every scene she's in. I love this spinoff series, and can't wait for Abby's sister Gabriela's second chance love, Made for Romeo, when it's released.

You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
