MY REVIEW

Theo's new assistant is getting under his skin and he doesn't like it. He's his usual grumpy self x1000 but somehow Fay is undoing him, making him...better? Less grumpy? Making him want to open up to her. But he's hiding a secret that has the power to destroy anything they might be developing.

Fay's life, Fay herself, is a hot mess. She lost her previous job thanks to a jerk. Her new boss is the biggest grump she's ever met and treats her like she's a second class citizen. Why she's finding herself attracted to him is a big mystery. But he's starting to open up and show her a different side of himself, and she's seeing beneath the grump. Is it possible they're starting something powerful?

I have to admit I wasn't sure Theo was a good guy at first. He took the grumpy alphahole to the extreme, and lashed out at poor Fay all the time. His backstory is pretty compelling, though, and when he started to open up to her, I could see why she was falling for him. Fay is adorable, hot mess though she is. I love how she dished out some serious sass and brought Theo to his knees. Their chemistry is sizzling, the snark and the deepening emotional connection = a great grumpy/sunshine office romance.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
